Meet JoAnna
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LCPC) with a culturally grounded, integrative approach to care. My work centers on People of Color, helping individuals explore how their inner world, beliefs, and sense of meaning influence the way they move through life. I believe lasting change begins with awareness, self-trust, and the ability to consciously relate to one’s thoughts, emotions, and identity.
In our work together, I offer a steady, reflective space where insight, intention, and personal responsibility can coexist with compassion and care.
Who I Work With
Sacred Minds is centered on supporting individuals across the African diaspora and people of color who are navigating life transitions, emotional overwhelm, identity shifts, and the desire to live with greater intention. Many of the individuals I support are thoughtful and self-aware, seeking to better understand how culture, lived experience, and inner beliefs shape the way they move through the world.
Our Approach
We view healing and growth as processes that begin within. Our approach honors the connection between thought, belief, identity, and lived experience, recognizing that inner orientation often shapes outer reality. Therapy is offered as a space for reflection, intention, and conscious self-examination, grounded in cultural context and emotional responsibility.

One-on-one support for adults seeking emotional clarity, self-understanding, and intentional change. Our work explores inner patterns, beliefs, and lived experience within a culturally grounded and reflective therapeutic space.
Psychological Consultation & Advisory
Psychological consultation and support for organizations, institutions, and government entities seeking culturally informed insight, emotional well-being strategies, and guidance around human behavior, systems, and organizational dynamics.
Clinical Supervision & Professional Support
Reflective supervision and professional support for clinicians within counseling and psychology disciplines. Services are provided by a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). Please note that licensure-qualifying supervision for social work is not offered.
